General Description

XXZ Mono shock absorber – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to its versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXZ shock absorber is easily adjustable even when installed.

The development of this shock culminates in a general weight reduction through the use of an aluminium casing – an important point for tailoring the handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up has been developed to focus the XXZ even more on racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and hydraulic spring preload adjustment has also been installed.

The aim is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even at extreme lean angles or during fast changes of direction, as well as even tire wear. It offers the greatest confidence during acceleration on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even under the hardest braking.

Innovation also reigns inside the shock absorber. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperature are improved.
Through the use of a 14 mm diameter piston rod, sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separator piston reduces uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction of inertial forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention was also paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, which are now all located in the upper part of the shock.
