General Description

XXZ mono shock absorbers – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to its versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXZ shock absorber is easy to adapt even when installed.
The development of this shock culminates in a general weight reduction through the use of an aluminium body – an important point to fine-tune the handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up was developed to orient the XXZ even more towards racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of the length and hydraulic spring preload adjustment was also installed.
The goal is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even at extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as even tire wear. It offers maximum confidence when accelerating on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even during the hardest braking.
Innovation also prevails inside the shock. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperatures are improved.
By using a piston rod with a 14 mm diameter, the sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separating piston reduces uncontrolled hydraulic oil movements. These improvements lead to a reduction in inertial forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention was also paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, which are now all located in the upper part of the shock.
