General Description

XXF Mono shock absorbers – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to the versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXF shock absorber is easy to adjust even when installed.

The development of this damper culminates in a general weight reduction through the use of an aluminium casing – an important point to fine-tune the handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up was developed to further align the XXF with racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and hydraulicer spring preload adjustment was also installed.

The goal is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even at extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as even tire wear. It offers utmost confidence when accelerating on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even under the hardest braking.

Innovation also reigns inside the damper. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperatures are improved.
By using a piston rod with a 14 mm diameter, the sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separating piston reduces uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction in inertia forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention was also paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, which are now all located in the upper part of the damper.

XXF valve kits for adjusting rebound and compression damping of the shock absorbers can be easily and quickly modified thanks to the replacement of the XD compression damping valves and XS rebound valves. Bitubo offers complete valve kits in single or with high- and low-speed adjustment along with the corresponding documentation of the characteristic curve. The XXF can be fully serviced.
