The Kit S was developed to reduce fork friction. Smooth sliding of the fork is absolutely essential during brake, because the forces involved, due to exponentially increasing friction, can cause the fork tube to twist. An original fork equipped with Kit S is consistently smoother and provides the rider with improved feedback on the front wheel during hard brake and corner entry.Sliding vs. static friction:
The KIT S significantly reduces "sticking" of surfaces during high breakaway torque and at the moment of initial force application, allowing the fork to react faster and more precisely.
Kit S contains
A pair of slide bushes for the outer tube of the fork with a special anti-friction coating. These bushings are each embedded in a ring made of Aluminium 7075, which is dimensionally calibrated to ensure perfect interaction between the piston and the lower fork leg.
A pair of seals between the piston rod and the end cap, with novel sealing edges and innovative self-lubricating processing, which significantly reduces friction.
