The Kit S was developed to reduce fork friction. The easy sliding of the fork is absolutely necessary during brakeing, as the forces involved can cause the fork tubes to twist within themselves due to exponentially increasing friction. An original fork equipped with Kit S is consistently smoother and provides the rider with improved feedback on the front wheel during hard brakeing and corner entry.Sliding vs. Adhesion:
The KIT S significantly reduces "sticking" of surfaces at high breakaway moments and at the point of initial force application, allowing the fork to react faster and more precisely.
Kit S includes
A pair of slide bushes for the outer tube of the fork with a special anti-friction coating. These bushings are each embedded in a ring of 7075 aluminium, calibrated dimensionally to ensure perfect interaction between the piston and the fork tube.
A pair of seals between the piston rod and the end piece, with novel sealing edges and innovative self-lubricating treatment, significantly reducing friction.
