The Kit S was developed to reduce fork friction. The smooth sliding of the fork is absolutely necessary during brakeing, as the forces involved can cause the fork tubes to twist due to exponentially increasing friction. An original fork equipped with Kit S is consistently smoother and provides the rider with improved feedback on the front wheel during hard brakeing and corner entry.Sliding vs. stiction:
The KIT S significantly reduces "sticking" of surfaces during high breakaway moments and at the point of initial force application, allowing the fork to react faster and more finely.
Kit S contains
A pair of slide bushes for the outer tube of the fork with a special anti-friction coating. These bushings are each embedded in a ring made of 7075 aluminium, calibrated dimensionally to ensure perfect interaction between the piston and the stanchion.
A pair of seals between the piston rod and the end cap, with novel sealing edges and innovative self-lubricating treatment, which significantly reduces friction.
