Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances power reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik throttle restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of an A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
