Proudly holding your motorcycle licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the series power is too high for a staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik throttle restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, for holders of the current A2 driving licence class, special conditions apply. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of the power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
