Proudly holding the motorcycle driving licence A2, having seen the dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development, as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and metrological effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Throttling:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW throttles work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
