Proudly holding the motorcycle driving licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high level of development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, novice drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
