Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small snag: the standard power, performance is too high for the tiered licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Throttles:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW throttles work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
