Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small snag: the standard power output for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reducers, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Throttling:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW throttles operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
