With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW throttles:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW throttles operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
