With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the aim to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.

Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.



25 kW Throttling:

Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, novice riders with 25 kW had to manage for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders.
