Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance for the staged driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power, performance of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
