Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the progressive driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply for holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
When all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
