Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, having seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance output of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as emissions, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the aim of maintaining optimal rideability and homogenous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high level of development and measurement effort is required, which is not always immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW restriction:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
