Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high level of developmental and metrological effort, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, novice riders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially developed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
