Small catch: the series power, performance for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power, performance of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the goal of maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle limiters.
