Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a progressive licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal requirements such as emissions, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogenous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle restrictors.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle restrictors.
