Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is the machine you MUST have! Small hitch: the standard power output for the phased licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust emissions, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, novice drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
