Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years.
