Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this bike HAS to be it! Slight catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as far as possible unchanged.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is significant development and measurement effort involved, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic interventions are necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
