Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 motorcycle licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
