Small hitch: the series power for the staged driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, novice riders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
