Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, having seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
