Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, there are legal regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the aim to largely preserve optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
