Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the series power is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the desire to maintain the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
