Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small hitch: the standard power output is too high for a graduated licence. Is it all over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
