Small catch: the standard power, performance for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
