Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictor kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and metrological effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictors:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
