General Description

Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the staged driving licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is an extensive development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work by mechanical means; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially developed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
