Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and twice the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery. Once all requirements are met, a part certificate is created by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs via the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
