General Description

Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, the dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the series power is too high for a graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance restrictions. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
