General Description

Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 4 motorcycles: With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and twice the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise is invested in the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.

The latest version makes restriction for 'ride-by-wire' vehicles even simpler, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be reliably restricted to 35 kW without the additional throttle plates (*) previously used. The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct gas-to-air ratio at all times.

The redundancy required by law is, of course, met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to perform. A major advantage of the MCR restrictor for bikers remains the full number-plate bracket of the throttle twist grip angle – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 4 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional throttle plates remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle bodies.
