Mechanical 35 kW restrictions for Euro 3 motorcycles:Since the introduction of the new driving licence directive in 2013, holders of the A2 driving licence category can now unleash a maximum of 35 kW. With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.
Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
