Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 4 motorcycles:With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.
A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
From the outset, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for new Euro 4 vehicles according to currently valid directives. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have been offering you and your customers reliable technology at the highest level at a competitive price.
The latest version makes restriction for 'ride-by-wire' vehicles even simpler, faster, and more comfortable. These vehicles can now be restricted to 35 kW with absolute operational reliability, without the previously used additional throttle plates (*). The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.
The redundancy required by law is naturally met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the rotation angle at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 4 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional throttle plates remain an indispensable component for the correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle bodies.
