General Description

Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 4 motorcycles:
With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise has gone into the development of the power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are legal requirements, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, remaining as unchanged as possible.

From the outset, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for new Euro 4 vehicles according to currently valid guidelines. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have offered you and your customers reliable technology of the highest standard at an affordable price.

The latest version makes restriction for "ride-by-wire" vehicles even simpler, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be reduced to 35 kW with absolute operational reliability, without the previously used additional restrictor plates (*). The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.

The redundancy required by law is naturally met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to achieve.
A major advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the twist grip angle on the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 4 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional restrictor plates remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out when the gas supply is reduced but the throttle valves are fully open.
