Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, the dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! A small catch: the standard power output is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
