Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high level of development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
