Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performancesrestriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performancesclasses become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance output of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into developing the power, performancesrestriction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances power delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restriction plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions: Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances power restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle travel limiters.
