Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is the machine you MUST have! Small hitch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, for holders of the current A2 licence class, separate conditions apply. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Up to that point, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performance reduction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake manifold or with throttle limiters.
