Proudly holding your A2 motorcycledriving licence, you've spotted your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, your motorcycledream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performances classes become more appealing to the motorcyclerider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development, as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake manifold or with throttle stops.
