Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost every desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance restrictions. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and metrological effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or using throttle stops.
