Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 motorcycle licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! One small catch: the standard power for the tiered licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence class. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and twice the original output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into developing power, performance restriction. Key factors must be considered here: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts report is issued by the technical service. Until then, a considerable amount of development and measurement effort is involved, which is not always immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
