Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! One small catch: the standard power output is too high for the tiered driving licence. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restrictions. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unaltered as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a considerable development and measurement effort, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Thanks to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
