Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance for a progressive licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into developing power, performances reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves significant development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions: Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
