Proudly holding your motorcycle licence A2, having spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on the one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Up to that point, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. alpha Technik offers due to its large assortment also today numerous 25 kW restriction kits, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
