Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is it over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performance restrictions. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
