Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle motorcycle licence, found your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the progressive licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, for holders of the current A2 driving licence class, special conditions apply. The power, performances power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical inspection body. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work by mechanical means; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
